1505                                    First written report of the mill

16th century                Holoubkov becomes part of the fiefdom of Zbiroh

Early 17th century       Written mention of the existence of a blast furnace

Latter 18th century      Production of cast iron for the war (artillery munitions)

1769                            Visit of future Emperor Joseph I

1880                           The mill is leased to Ludwig Merores and Max Hopfengärtner (together with factories in Strašice and Dobřív)

1885                           The iron works is purchased by Hopfengärtner; Zbirower Eisenwerke is established

1886                           The blast furnace is shut down and tilt hammers sold; a new foundry and iron works are built focusing on the production of cast iron for construction and commercial use         

1918                           Following the death of Max Hopfengärtner, his son Adolf and son-in-law František Bartoš take over management of the iron works

1928                           The company fails; Union Bank acquires the iron works

1934                           The foundry is shut down, but machinery production continues (JMl)
